Chalkboards aren't just for school houses, or little kid easels anymore...
They are a fun addition to a variety of design schemes, especially in the kitchen. A few months back a did a little DIY project and made my own. Since then, it has moved with me, and become a staple in my kitchen. Recently, after investing in some chalkboard markers... I learned the real value they have [the markers are so much smoother and prettier in color than chalk!]... I write a menu when guests come over, notes to my man before I run out the door...they have so many uses...
Just showed a house today, and their cute little kitchen had a framed chalk board on the wall-my clients LOVED IT!!

I've never seen a chalkboard behind a bed before, but I'd love to have one in the kichen. Like a whole wall or pillar or something. It would be fun! Great post, Keely!

Love an old school black chalkboard...the bigger the better. We built one for the studio that takes up half the wall. I use it to write all the ideas that I want to see in front of me at all times. And though I can erase I hardly ever do.
ReplyDeleteWe have a giant chalkboard in our kitchen and its so useful and looks great!
