Black... a much debated color to use in any room really. But, an already small space like a bathroom? I think absolutely, yes! Lonny Magazine does too. They featured not one, but two fabulous black bathrooms in their latest issue. Including this one below which has my jaw resting on the floor...
I simply adore the faux croc wallpaper. This next bathroom strikes the perfect balance, and is utterly feminine yet still bold and cozy...
for a little extra glamour... go with high gloss- its showstopping, no?
Wow, super bold and I like it!! The third photo is my favorite, I think the gold and white totally makes it all work. Xo, Katie
ReplyDeleteI love the bathroom from Lonny ! That wallpaper is amazing and I love the high gloss in the last photo !

oo, i love the black with the gold mirror and pink flowers! gorgeous and so daring.
ReplyDeleteLoving the inspiration here. We went for black in our bedroom recently and it works so well!
ReplyDeletei'm a big fan... my brothers bathroom at my parents is really dark with slate tiled shower... so masculine. i love the lonny shot of the vanity though, it takes it for a pretty feminine turn! xo
ReplyDeleteI love black in bathrooms - especially powderrooms on the first floor of a house - there is a chicness about them. However, I do think it needs to be a chic house or flat - not just any old house.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,

you know, I was always afraid of black in a bathroom but it looks so classy!

thank you for sharing your story with us!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't have thought of using black in a bathroom, in a home bathroom anyway, but those last two images have really caught my eye. Love the touches of gold and yellow. :)

do you know the color of the high gloss black?
ReplyDeleteanonymous - I'm not sure the exact color that they used, but I used Martha Stewarts "Silhouette" Black in high gloss on my walls and it turned out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I'm your fan!
