TRENDSPOTTING: ARMED WALL LAMPS

A great lamp can add a lot to a room. However, they're not always the most functional option for late night reading, or concentrated light. Lately I have adored all of the great bedrooms popping up with armed wall lamps. In place of, or in addition to lamps, they certainly make a subtle but stylish statement...

Especially fun are these two armed library style lights! you can find these at circa lighting

The insanely talented Ms. Wearstler used armed wall lights at the Tides South Beach...

ooo i love the black ones and the last ones. so cool. our bedroom has a ceiling fan where the glass covering the light has that orange/rust brush to it. it gives horrible light!!! its ok in the living room, but putting makeup on in the bedroom is bad. and i hate having an above light on when im trying to read in bed because the glare bothers my eyes. these lamps are a perfect solution. the hard part would be getting my husband to install them. haha.

They remind me of a chic hotel room, which I love. Such a cool idea.
