M IS FOR MASCARA

When it comes to makeup, I'm generally pretty habitual. Mascara is a completely different story. When I was younger, I bought into the idea that department store mascara was the superior product, while I no longer think thats the case - I try a new mascara nearly every single time I buy a new one. I'm currently using Maybelline Colossal Volume pictured above in yellow and it's really not my favorite.

I want to know what your favorite mascaras are ?!
Do you have one that is nice and smooth, that doesn't flake during the day, and isn't impossible to remove at night? [thats asking for perfection, I know]
Have any of you tried any organically formulated mascaras?

I have become such a mascara fan in recent years. I love Chanel inimitable (perhaps because the brush is great too) and have wanted to try cover girl great lash for a while. We'll see!

I need to have waterproof! It is so hard to find. Maybelline needs to bring back "dial-a-lash". It was the best!!

Funny, I posted a mascara post today too. I do a series called Mascara Mondays with before and after pictures. I test out drugstore and high end. My favorite right now would have to be Hourglass.

I have been using Maybelline Great last (in the pink and green bottle!) ever since I began wearing makeup and it's what my mom and grandma use too! It is the best and I've tried all different kinds but none ever measure up. I don't use waterproof normally but their waterproof is just as great as the non-waterproof.

Blinc! Have you tried it?! A friend suggested it and I am hooked. It's perfect for everyday as it doesn't "paint" your lashes it "tubes" them. It doesn't smudge or flake and it's great for your lower lashes too. No makeup remover needed and it doesn't leave any black on your eyes :)

The new CG mascara is really good! It's the new version of last blast. If you like bad gal lash you'll like this.. It reminds me of that!

I have been using the natural mascara by CoverGirl for a few months now and am loving it. It feels a lot lighter on my lashes, but they still look really full with a nice curve - I am a huge fan and advocate! If you tear up it doesn't run super bad, either - but is still easy to remove at night with water.
Much love,
B

OK...I feel very strongly about Great Lash as well...VERY STRONGLY, as in desert island pick! Go for the blackest black with the biggest brush.

My favourite part of makeup is putting on the mascara, I really love long and pretty lashes!!! I dont trust in designer brands and that stuff, the simple ones are better!. Right now I'm using the colossal volum express mascara CAT EYES! and IS PERFECT!! you have to apply like three layers of mascara, never use just one!

REGARDS!

I am totally the same way, I try one for a while then need to switch it up. I am currently addicted to LORAC Multiplex 3D lashes. I LOVE this stuff!! My more recent desire was the BAD gal lash that you have shown above. I love that Sephora sells the small sizes so I don't have to wait until I'm done with a reg size before getting a new one to try. Good luck!

I'm a huge fan of the Organic Wear (bottom row, green leaf wand). I've had no issues with flaking and only smearing once when caught in a freak snow storm. It comes off really easy with water (no soap or removers needed)and the black is a nice, deep black. Love it.

L'oreal Voluminous...it layers, doesn't get spider webby or dry out, every time I try a new mascara, I go back to the Voluminous. It won't letcha down : )

I'm not a fan of the voluminous. For me I feel like it gets small clumps too often. I have a love affair with mascara though. I've tried the colossal, the one by one, the falsies, lancome hypnose drama, great lash, clinique lash doubling mascara among who knows how many others. My fav that I keep going back to is the clinique high impact mascara.

A little late to the game here but I too, share your obsession with mascara and have tried countless brands. I've narrowed it down as follows: DiorShow never lets me down, Benefit They're Real is great for lengthening and really gets those corner lashes, Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion is amazing for a store brand - I'd compare it to DiorShow and it may even be better. I then layer some Maybelline Lash Discovery over it which really lengthens. And finally, the priciest but probably the best I've tried yet is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill.

Hello! I started reading your blog tonight. just found out about it. I'm a professional makeup artist and I suggest loreal or covergirl. Personally, I love both but it depends on the person though. Just be careful because though once you opened the lid of your mascara you have to get rid of it after 4 months. and avoid pumping your mascara wand in and out as the air would dry it out really fast. bacteria get to the mascara wand really fast so you have to be cautious as well. dont let anyone use it other than you. Hope this helped. I'm a fan of yours. keep up the great work and cant wait to see more of your posts although I have loads of back stories to read. :) xoxo
