This boring walk through entryway has been completely transformed by some bright paint, and great curtains. An area of our homes that can often be awkward and lacking focus can be transformed into its own space with a design like this one. So, for this very first "Take It On" Tuesday, I am challenging all of you who have been meaning to get around to decorating that entryway of yours to do so!
Here's the inspiration:
Here's what you could do...
I think warming up the yellow would still be bold, yet slightly more inviting. While I'm all for color, extreme brights are colors that are changed most by people. Choosing colors slightly more muted have longer lasting effects. Instead of bordering the yellow with black, try the royal blue to complement the patterns! By using a great pattern in two spaces in the room, it draws the eye around, rather than to only certain focus points (remember, were creating a room out of a passageway) Finally, bring the yellow into the room with a less busy pillow in the same tone. Bright stripes always remind me of summer, thats why I chose this great pillow for the chair (which will be functional in this space, we all need a place to remove shoes comfortably!)
...and because I love it, I would add this great little table to put keys and flowers on!
