TEA TIME

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Sorry for the very delayed posting today. Its a busy day here, its my mom and M's birthday's - so there is much celebrating being done!

Something I have taken such delight in since returning from Switzerland is afternoon tea.
Its been a great time to unwind from the day, warm up from the frigid temperatures and ever mounting snow outside, and enjoy this age old tradition. It also really has me thinking how much I would adore a quality tea set to my registry for the upcoming big event.  I think they have such a beautiful quality about them, no matter what style you are into...

This is my absolute favorite, isn't it perfection?

I would love to know, what is your favorite tea I'm a Twinnings girl myself, or tea time tradition?

I love the trays in the first pic and the tea set in the last. I received a beautiful tea pot and cup as a wedding present but it got lost somewhere in the moves over the years. Now that my daughter is getting a little bigger I hope to start the tradition of a spring tea for her friends and their mothers. When I was pregnant I was addicted to liptons red tea... its infused with strawberry and passionfruit, yummy. Me being a southern girl its sweet iced tea with lemon everyday :)

I can't get enough of Twinning's Chamomile with Vanilla and Honey teabags... oh I must have drank about 5 boxes already this year!
Sometimes I prefer good old breakfast tea though - prepared like a builder ;)

i grew up with green tea. Yamamotoyama makes a genmacha, which is a rice tea. It is perfect after a meal. You should try it!

So pretty! I love tea and have been really into white tea lately.

My go-to is Teavana, i love how they mix different teas together to create new flavors which taste amazing!

my tea time pretty much starts the second i get up... and goes on all day. :) i typically *try* to skip the cookies, but my mom brought over some reeses peanut butter cups, and i have to tell you- they go pretty darn well with some detox tea. :) {is that an oxymoron?} :)

Love the second photo - those colorful little candies are amaing!!! Had them in Torino at Baratti e Milano. I would kill for them again. They literally melt in your mouth!! Oh and my favorite tea seems to change all the time. Right now I love Tazo Awake (iced) and Forté Breakfast (hot) and Novus is excellent (hot) as well!!

Do you know the maker of the tea set in pic one? Been looking for a nice simple tea set since I returned from England but I can't find anything I fancy. Lived there 6 years and so miss my Yorkshire tea with some digestives. Never thought I would miss the hard water but it made the tea taste like England :-)
