THE LIVED IN LOOK

The books, the art, the knick knacks - they all lend themselves to the overwhelming feeling of comfort in these spaces...

too often I find myself looking for a sense of order amongst my belongings.
its time to take a step back and let what will we be, just be.

while the perfect, no-clutter homes look gorgeous I too find myself leaning to the lived-in-cozy feel houses - because its what my life is like :)
thanks for the pic's - love that first one

I love books like this. So calming and inviting to me. I'm can't wait to find a unique way to display my books when I move. :)

Also loving the monogrammed pillow.

I think unless you have a professional photographer in for a shoot, all homes have the lived in look. I love these rooms, they are so inviting. Check out my new blog when you have a chance. Thanks.

Those rooms have such personality and soul! I sometimes think I should just get rid of my bedside table and have a stack of books there instead, would give me additional room for more tomes!

I've seen that mantel a few times and love it every time. I want to layer some paintings over my big mirror now!

thank you for this post!!! I'm trying to make my living room fit in a perfect, tidy box...but that's just not real life for us! it's going to be a little chaotic and scattered design wise...and that's okay too! right?!?!?! :)
