WEDDING ON THE WEEKEND: ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

Last week we met with the photographer who will be taking our engagement photos. Every day since, I have woken up with an extra skip in my step- I'm just so excited to have these photos taken. M and I have agreed that we want something unconventional- some simply pretty pictures to adorn our frames with that don't necessarily scream "we're engaged". I love these classic and fun photos...

CRAZY FOR CHEETAH

BRIGHT , BOLD, + SUSTAINABLE

Suno NY was a dream 12 years in the making for Max Osterweis. Inspired by his love affair with Kenya and its people, he strived to create a clothing line sustainable, fashionable, and one the completely exudes beauty. I would have to say mission accomplished! The sweet juxtaposition of these bold colors and prints somehow works so easily without assaulting your eyes. They are gorgeous and yet look so comfortable.

Not generally a tye dye kinda girl, I am absolutely loving this outfit! The soft blue and white paired with the pink printed skirt is so fun!

I rarely talk about high fashion on this blog, and it's not that I don't adore it... it just simply isn't my passion. But as I sit here among piles of clothing that need to be unpacked and put away... I really wish that I had the fabulous wardrobe of Katherine Heigl in this photoshoot for Harpers Bazaar...

I'M BACK+ COFFEE

I sincerely apologize for my absence this week... I have been traveling and it has been pretty whirlwhind. I promise I will be back in full force next week! However, on our little trip, we found our future home! M is so excited he wants to pack up next week!

As excited as I am to move... I'm equally excited to be home. I think it's the small pleasures I miss the very most when I am away. Coffee is the very first ritual of my day, and it's my absolute favorite! I would love to have a stylish space dedicated to coffee in my home. I think it has a certain elegance when you're having a dinner party too!

OLDE WORLD GLAMOUR

The way that each of these rooms comes together is stunning. Walking into one of these rooms would be great visual candy... there are so many elements to consider! There is a constant mix of patterns, colors, textures, and other elements. It's difficult to pick out each and every feature because there are so many. I love the way that they used color variations throughout, yet kept similar patterns. Theres almost an effortless elegance about it, it simply looks like a fabulous collection from over hundreds of years...

Lakeside Getaway

Our best friends are celebrating their wedding anniversary this weekend (congrats R+V!), and we were discussing the difference between a getaway at the beach, and one at the lake. Growing up in Minnesota, our getaways on the weekend were always to our lake cabin, and it got me thinking of how nice a little weekend at the lake might be...
