TWO-TONE TREATS

It is my understanding that while I'm sweltering in the south florida heat, Minneapolis is feeling fall.

I'm excited to finally break out some of those fall pieces I so excitedly picked up before we left, and transition a few summer pillows and blankets into fall. Dark walls always feels warmer and cozy and I especially like the clean look when they are paired with white - to me, it never gets old...

EMERALD ON MY MIND

Cozy and clean natural colors continue to dominate interiors this fall, while neon's dominate the runways.  While I love the neon trend, I think its better left off of my sofa, and on some fashion accessories. This being said, I still love the idea of bringing a little color into a more muted palette.

Emerald green is a jewel tone that always seems to feel luxurious and welcoming, enveloping really.

I love the way that these emerald curtains make these two spaces instantly enlightened...

ARTFUL LIVING

 It always makes me happy to share something from my sweet city. Artful Living is a quarterly luxury lifestyle magazine that I always enjoy reading through, and when I came across this beautiful apartment, my heart skipped a little beat...

 The mix of textures around every corner is truly capturing...

What's even more interesting is how Andrew Flescher and his partner designed this apartment on a dime. They can only live in it for one year! and have turned it into something seriously gorgeous.

Instead of replacing the floors, they painted them, replaced their counters with ones from ikea, and tiled their kitchen with a standard subway tile from Home Depot. Their apartment is a true testament to what you can get done by being thrifty and mixing the right elements together.

WEDDING ON THE WEEKEND: MY INVITATIONS

 Yesterday marked that our wedding is officially one month away. eek!!

Now that I can safely say that everyone has received their wedding invitation, I can't wait for you to see them, along with a few of our engagement photos...

Last week Ashley gave you a sneak peek at my invitations, and this today she has posted them! I am absolutely in love with them, she did such an amazing job and I have received so many compliments on how beautiful they are.  If you are looking for wedding invitations, or simply some gorgeous stationary - contact Ashley. ANTLERS IN ANY SEASON

Hi friends... I feel like those of you who have followed my blog for a while are probably wondering whats with the radio silence, and those of you who are new [hi!] are probably wondering why I don't post more...  I hope to be back here much more often in the next couple weeks than I have been in the last because I truly adore my little blog - there has just been so much going on in my life that I often find myself wondering what day of the week it is. So please bare with me over the next few weeks until my wedding is over and I can be back to regular posting!

Fall is certainly upon us here in the Twin Cities, but I am not ready at all!  Antlers always seem to finish off a warm and cozy design - however in these light and bright rooms, I like these antlers just as much. They seem like the perfect spaces for this transitional part of the year...
