FINALLY FINISHED: THE ENTRYWAY

I love the way that our house ended up being laid out after the renovation, because it still retained some of the structured spaces that I loved about it originally - like the defined entryway. I wanted the entry to have its own personality since its the first thing you see when you walk in, but I didn't want it to feel mis-matched from the adjoining spaces since there are so many that feed from it as you can see below. The last piece of the puzzle was figuring out what to do with the space where the gallery wall is, and which space to tie it into. Ultimately, I chose the entryway because I love a pretty coral, and I just couldn't pass up the Ben Moore "Coral Gables" color.

PATIENCE + JET LINERS

I've always loved beach photography, and perhaps thats what initially caught my eye on these serene photos by Austrian photographer Josef Hoflehner. Looking through his portfolio could honestly take hours. Every shot is peaceful, and feels like so much to look at, but so little at the same time. I think adding a few of these to my living room walls would add exactly what I was hoping for...

Some of his city shots aren't to be missed either, enjoy more here

TIE IT TOGETHER

Marc and I attended a fun backyard get together this weekend, and I threw on a pretty little tunic-length tank top. I love adding a skinny belt for some shape definition and a pop of color that accents my shoes/jewelry but I've never quite mastered tying the belt on correctly...

Sometimes I feel like the only one. In case I'm not, and there are a few of you out there who don't have it all figured out either - I found this simple tutorial to make the perfectly tied belt...
