After this absolutely maddening heat this week, I have craved cleaner and fresher spaces. And white - it always seems to give that feeling...

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker's Hamptons bedroom is light and airy. The fluffy bed looks like the perfect place to nap during those high afternoon temps...

This bathroom is so spacious and light-filled. I love the way the countertops to the bathtub appear to be one seamless piece of material.

The next best thing to a pool? Feeling like your outside while actually sitting in the air conditioning. This terrarium like space below is inspiring and beautiful.

Spring is here my friends.  I think everyone is smiling a little bigger, disposition is a little sunnier, and the  warmer temperatures are here to stay.  The ladies over at High Gloss Magazine are doing an incredible job, and to say I'm kind of obsessed with every last page is an understatement. When I flipped through this particular feature - it had me dreaming of the days when I didn't have pets, manly hobby parts lying around... and how glorious it would be to live with only white...

the hints of dark wood so well compliment the beams in the living room, and despite its saturated color, it almost goes unnoticed.

the way the homeowner has carried the design into her outside living spaces really completes the look of the home, and pulls it all together.

could you live with all white?

AU NATURAL + WHITE= PURE DELIGHT

All white interiors are something that have always had a place in my heart. I love, love, love bold color and crazy pattern all mixed together- but there must be something so soothing about returning home to one of these beautiful white walled apartments with little more than a natural touch to elevate a space...

The understated glamour here is design talent to be reckoned with. Its truly amazing the way you can take such a gorgeous albeit beat up floor and turn this apartment into what it is...

I think I would die and go to heaven if this were my outdoor patio... its stunning. I can just imagine lingering nights here with a close group of family and friends laughing and having wonderful conversation...

A SWEDISH RETREAT

Clearly a fresh new year has ushered in even more of an obsession with fresh, white spaces. This Swedish abode however, is different from your typical white space, and also that of a home whose pieces have been collected from around the world...

The cleanliness of this home provides the perfect base from the ethnic mixes of furniture, colors, and textures...

Its admirable the way that the homeowner/designer has enhanced the bones of this home with style pieces from so many different eras and cultures [ check out that blue chest paired with a parisian-esque chandelier and tropical tree]...

While originally this room did little aesthetically for me, it seems the fabulous chandelier presents itself as the ease and careless bit of the space - making is flow with relaxation and maybe even imagination.

WHISPERING WHITE

Today we took the train to a little town nestled into the swiss alps, which is only accessible by train from one direction in the winter to go alpine sledding. Riding through the snow covered mountains was beautiful and so serene. The heavy snow cover on the huge pine trees was so pure and clean feeling.... like these rooms...

Last night M and I hosted our holiday cocktail party!  After a week of preparations, it went off without a hitch and was tons of fun. However, today - I'm totally beat! I'm excited to share photos later today, but in the meantime - how gorgeous is this loft!?

I know in actuality, these spaces probably aren't the same - but wouldn't it be perfect if they were? The work space is sheer amazingness. That insanely large inspiration board with all the light pouring in over the work space.. l-o-v-e it!

J'ADORE ADORE

I know all of us here in the Northern Hemisphere are on the polar express not stopping until we get to  Christmas [ and one with the coziest of interiors! ]. But - down under, summer is underway. Adore Home Magazine is a fab new online shelter pub out of Australia and I am absolutely drooling over this clean and refreshing Hamptons home...

I love the way they have glammed up earthy elements like that organic wooden table in the entryway painted in a metallic silver...

the subway tile backsplash looks like seaglass... love!

I think its the subtle and perfectly appointed color pops against this white palette which make it so stunning.

TRENDSPOTTER: WHITE ENTRYWAY TABLES

A great entryway is something I love to see when coming into a home. It gives the person who lives there the instant feeling that they are back into their familiar space, and it gives their guests a first impression. Its a small space that can ooze with style...

Lately, all I seem to notice is gorgeous white entry way tables. They are chic, have a personality of their own, and give a sometimes ill-lighted corner of a home some brightness.

I'm loving this one that belongs to Palmer Weiss. The elephants are to die for!

I'll set aside my dream destination of Capri and the gorgeous J.K. Place hotel for another day, and feature this stunning, relaxing, and lovable southern California home...

the lucite side table/desk is truly a dream, and the silver bin truly polishes it off.

the quirky and juxtaposed art totally makes this place. it is so different from room to room, from wall to wall, really, but is absolutely evocative of the families clearly creative style.

the way that de kwiatkowski has used pieces from every era is design is truly the best feature. she effortlessly combines modern and contemporary with classic, mid-century, victorian, and even rustic.
