ORGANIC + INVITING

Last night M and I hosted our holiday cocktail party!  After a week of preparations, it went off without a hitch and was tons of fun. However, today - I'm totally beat! I'm excited to share photos later today, but in the meantime - how gorgeous is this loft!?

A SENSUAL SMALL APARTMENT

Lately, I have really realized the value in my little apartment, and come to have a great appreciation for well designed small spaces. After seeing Jessica's posts this week on rooms featured in Apartment Therapy's small cool contest this year, I took a look around myself...

I am in LOVE with this dark and moody apartment. Its the perfect place to cozy into for fall and winter...

the color palette, the textures, the pops of white and silver...perfection!

the home owner used interesting pieces that you would usually see else where in a home to create beautiful vignettes that also have purpose.

INSPIRE ME!

Today is finally the day I have been talking about on this blog for a few weeks now, and am so excited about! I have been styling an add campaign that a local photographer is shooting for Budget Blinds. You can see their adds in Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and a number of other shelter publications. While I'm loving the styling aspect, today the shoot is in my house, and I'm the model (eek!). I'm really excited to share the final shots with you as soon as they cross my desk, but for today... here is my inspiration...

A PASSION FOR PURPLE

I feel like I have posted quite a few purple rooms this spring/summer, and while I never considered myself a purple person, maybe I love it more than I ever let on...

This month's issue of House Beautiful is better than walking into the most fun candy store you have ever seen. It is seriously jam packed with colorful goodness.

DEEP, DARK, + GLAMOROUS

M and I are on the road again, so I apologize for the lack of posting. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with sunny skies! Now that its back to work, and (at least M and I are) living in limbo for another 2 months, it got me thinking about how much I miss my little workspace, and when we can finally settle into a place for longer than 1, 2, maybe even 6 months, what a gorgeous office I would love to have

one just like this maybe (with a baroque style desk included!)...

LIVING WITH LINEN

I saw this a few days ago in the June issue of Living Etc. and have been drooling over it ever since. Why you ask? What could possibly be more fun and girly than a sweet little combination of pink and lavender? On top of that, throwing in some easy breezy linen, a white washed floor, and a few baroque accents... yummy!

A Punch of Purple
