A BEDROOM DILEMMA

When M and I moved in together a few years ago, I said goodbye to a mattress I was absolutely in love with. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Convinced that his new, Tempurpedic mattress would be the answer to his back pain prayers, he had already invested in one. Here we are.. almost three years down this supposed "never go back" mattress road... and we HATE it! Its like sleeping on a rock! 

So, for those of you out there who love your bed as much as I, and find it to be a complete sanctuary... what mattress do you recommend?

DRAPED SIDETABLES

Looking through the Lonny archives, its easy to come across rooms and spaces you fall in love with all over again. For me, this is one of them. I have kind of had a think with fabric draped/skirted side tables lately...  its sweeter, softer... and adds a pinch of elegance!

ORANGE + LIGHT BLUE: IS IT FOR YOU?

A color combo I really have ever given little attention to is orange and pastel blue. But, it had certainly caught my eye today! There is such an interesting dichotomy between the rich orange, and the light and refreshing blue. Not to mention... it seems you could style the room in just about any fashion with this combo...

A VERY HAPPY MIX

This summer... bungalows, farmhouses, and cottages have been whats on my radar. They are so quaint and sunshiney!

Whitewashed everything + the pink and green combo = summery perfection!  The owner of this adorable bungalow has managed to make the pink and green color combo in this room a very happy mix and not overly feminine.

the quirky touches here are endless, and definitely pieces that make this house a home.

SEEING RED

I have always admired Alessandra Branca's work. It's daring, its individual, and nothing short of fabulous...

I don't know what to love more, the piping on the sofa, the red and brown toile covered chairs, or the tufted ottoman?

Polishing With Patterns

Something I have been seeing around lately, and loving, are patterned bedskirts. They really add that extra dimension to polish off a room!

this one is my favorite! 

you can never go wrong with stripes!

I really like this one because of its simple nature. I love the extra bit of warmth and texture that the velvet ribbon on the bottom of the skirt adds to the room, and pulls the bedset together. This would be an easy DIY project for one of your own bedskirts!

Orange and Navy: Unexpectedly Classic

Some may feel like Orange and Navy are fall colors, I feel like they are always colors. They combination actually reminds me of a chic east coast beach house, or a easy Miami vacation spot. I think navy and orange with pops of white is unexpected and fresh, with orange giving it that subtle warmth. I'm drooling over this twin bedroom especially...

Modern Romance

I love romantic interiors. I think a lot of people associate this with shabby chic, or a single girls home, but this subtly colored home is all things romantic. With spring (hopefully) just around the corner, this sweetly detailed home has given me some fresh inspirations for my own home. Now, if only I could create that bathroom mosaic in my bathroom!

The gray next to the lilac is so calming, but the pop of color that the duvet gives the room the standout quality.

IN. LOVE... with this bathroom. everything. the mosaic. the sink. the tall floor vase. the pink chair... perfection!

One of the best things about spring is the fresh and bright flower colors.

I LOVE the idea of mixing chandeliers over the table.

Every woman would love to decorate her home with only her own personal style and favorite items in mind... but home is also where our significant others live too. These bedrooms are sexy and chic, but masculine, somewhere that he will be happy to rest his head too.
